Throughout his career, he has supported a broad range of talent acquisition initiatives, helping companies secure key talent across finance, corporate functions, and business operations.
Brian’s foundation in recruitment was built within the Accounting & Finance market. Working closely with CFOs, finance leaders, and business executives gave him early exposure to the commercial impact of hiring decisions and the role talent plays in driving business performance. This experience continues to shape his approach to recruitment, with a focus on aligning hiring strategies to organizational objectives, growth plans, and long-term business outcomes.
Over the course of his career, Brian has established a strong track record in Japan’s highly competitive recruitment market. His achievements include multiple Top Billing Consultant awards, recognition as a Top Billing Consultant of the Year, Deal of the Year, Team of the Year, and leadership awards for client development and business growth. These accomplishments reflect his ability to build long-term partnerships, execute complex searches, and consistently deliver results for clients and candidates alike.
Known for his practical and consultative approach, Brian has led both contingency and retained search assignments across a range of industries and functions. He leverages an extensive professional network and strong understanding of the Japanese employment market to help organizations navigate growth, transformation, and talent shortages.
Prior to entering the recruitment industry, Brian worked within the technology consulting sector as a Senior Analyst for a global IT services organization. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from DePaul University with a major in International Relations and a minor in Computer Security.
In 2026, Brian joined Johzen K.K. as a Partner, where he advises organizations on talent strategy, executive hiring, and business growth initiatives.
Outside of work, Brian enjoys drumming, running, and playing basketball.
